Simply put, if the Bible is right, then you have a lot to gain and not much to lose. Surely something that makes the claims that the Bible does is worthwhile at least seriously investigating. It’s not going to hurt to investigate the Bible properly, but it certainly could end up hurting if you don’t!

According to the Bible there are two destinies awaiting people. Either being dead forever, or being alive forever in a place much better than the one we currently call home. Where you end up depends on what you do about it now in this life.

Do you think that you are good enough? You try to live a good life and assume that if there is a Heaven then the good life you live will entitle you to enter? If God is the one granting access to Heaven, and you keep refusing Him and refusing to take much notice of His book, do you think that will go down well when it comes to deciding on whether or not to let you in?

Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever stolen something? Have you ever been disrespectful to your parents? Used God’s name as a cuss word? Have you ever been selfish? (Just to name a few) Then according to the Bible, you are a sinner who is worthy only to suffer eternal death and you have no rights to Heaven.

The reality is that we have all sinned and we all have an element of ‘natural’ selfishness. This is what has separated this world from God. He has worked out a plan of escape for us, and this is detailed in the Bible.

In the face of all this, only a fool would ignore it all and not at least investigate it thoroughly. There is a lot to gain and not much to loose.
